So, if I were superstitous i would not comment on this. Lagsi has been very good about barking recently. He can be left outside and he doesn't go crazy about other dogs barking in the hood. The squirrels can be iffy, but crows--sometimes a bark, but most often he watches them. When we see other dogs, he still gets goofy and puppylike, but he doesn't bark at them (unless they bark at him--but he does stop). So now we will work on sit and be nice and not be nutzy when we meet them. His ears go back and he gets all wiggly and he pounces. He's too old for puppy behavior and adult dogs think he's mad. yesterday in the woods we had crows following us squawking--and he didn't engage them. we met two strange dogs in the woods and he didn't bark at them. I think the dog park is doing a lot of this. He gets to meet new dogs on his terms (not mine) and it is mellowing him out. Either that or the daily beatings (pad joke). Or maybe it is his age. i don't care, it just makes life more tolerable.
