Raising the Sox Cats One day, Karen Beaudoin got the bright idea of stopping in at the Animal Refuge League just to "see who might be there." Not surprisingly, she brought someone home. Actually two someones. Those 3-month-old kittens are Fenway and Pesky, who may not be Red Sox fans yet, but they're learning. They're also known as Trouble 1 and Trouble 2 because of their fondness for lounging on kitchen counters, digging in plant pots and walking into the refrigerator every time it opens. Life with these two brothers sure is interesting.

Their first ever snowfall

Oct. 18 sure seems awfully early for snow to be falling. But as frightening as it was to think that Sunday's flurries were only the start of many more flakes to come this cold weather season, I couldn't be too annoyed after noticing how amazed the boys were with the snow falling in the backyard.

First Pesky and then Fenway say in front of the sliding glass doors and watched the white stuff coming down in the dark Sunday evening. They stared and stared but couldn't seem to figure out what was going on out there. In their 6 months of life (and now 3 months in our house) they've seen plenty of rain falling. But this was different. And interesting enough to pass up the chance to snuggle on a cozy blanket in front of the TV.

I can't wait to see what they do when the white stuff actually starts sticking to the ground.

ChessieMom says,
:0) Stripes, our "magic" gecko, likes to watch water droplets dripping from the roof near his window, too... I think that our critters who have prey drive are far more entertained than we people who own them :0)
