News from the UK, dogs bring more happiness than than Partners

From the UK-
"The MORI poll of 2,000 people, commissioned by Pedigree, reveals that 81 per cent of people’s happiness significantly improves once they become dog owners.

In fact, according to the research, a dog tops the ‘happiness index’ and is way ahead of other factors which improve people’s moods."

Dog ownership beats off other feel good factors including the weather, job satisfaction and even being in a steady relationship".

My brother is going through this issue right now with his wife. Now that they have a baby, she would like nothing more than to find a new home for their 3 year old jack russell terrier, who has been acting out ever since the baby arrived. My brother won't even hear of it. If the dog goes, he goes. Period. His wife is going nuts. I've offered a couch, but other than that I am staying out of it.
