Introducing Finnegan "Finney"

Hylight's Finnegan Begin Again
"Finney"

Look what we got!

You can plan on reading more about Finnegan, our new 5 month old Smooth Collie puppy addition in the very near future. He just arrived yesterday and we are still all getting to know each other.
Here is the photo from our initial meeting on Saturday, when we took a walk in the woods to introduce him slowly to our dog Charlee.

I have 4 of his littermates in training class and each puppy is nicer than the next.
He ended up with the breeder after someone who had a deposit on him backed out. Their loss is our gain. Obviously he was waiting for us.

How fun! My husband finally acquired his "dream dog" last weekend- a 7-week old Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy. "Leo" has turned our house upside down, but everyone seems ok with him. He's learning the rules quickly and doing his best to fit in. Kansas is helping, which is a relief! No kidding what they say about cattle dogs being able to work 12 hours straight- in a snowstorm. She's got an eye on him, an eye on the squirrel taking over the backyard and an ear tuned to the cats in case they need rescuing from Leo and she still has time for me! I don't know what I'd do without her!

He's so cute, and also a very lucky dog. Have you put him on dogster yet?
