Marie's straight poop

Thanks to Marie Finnegan, fellow Maine trainer for her current blog entry The Straight Poop . She made me laugh out loud by reminding us all of the obvious.

Be sure to keep your mouth shut when chipping away at frozen poop.

Well at least in California I don't need to worry about 'poop' chips flying into my mouth LOL

I liked her reference to keeping an eye on the quality of the poop as a way of knowing when a dog feels poorly. I do that too, but it is a challenge with 3 dogs.
I can tell which poop belongs to my smallest dog, Snow, by virtue of its size.
That leaves Chaplin & Chauncey. Of those 2 the one who is most susceptible to getting sick is Chauncey - the 3rd dog I have taken on after fostering him for a year.

When I see some suspect poop I add some canned corn kernels to Chauncey's food (I feed them a raw diet) and Voila! in 12 hours I know which dog's poop is not up to par.
