It took Dr Patty Khuly over on the always fabulous blog Dolittler to get Bach to sit up and listen that their Pastille Rescue Candy can not only hurt dogs, it could hurt their bottom line.
Thanks Doc!

It is correct Xylitol is listed as a sweetener in some batches of the Rescue Pastilles. However, all the individual Bach Flower Remedies, Rescue Remedy Pet and Rescue Remedy does not contain any sweeteners. We have contacted Nelson Bach in England, who are responsible for the products, and asked them for their official response. Please do the same and voice your concern to them www.nelsons.net rescue@nelsons.net The Bach Flower Remedies and Rescue Remedy is made at the Bach Centre in England, under supervision by the Bach Foundation. The Rescue Pastilles are made in Switzerland and sold by Nelson Bach, not endorsed by the Bach Foundation. Please help us clarify the difference with your devoted readers. If you have any questions please let me know. Sincerely, Bettina Dolz Rasmussen info@bachflower.com BachFlower.com 800-214-2850
Bettina also goes on to list a coupon code for 5 % off which I refuse to print here.
Excuse me Bettina, but I think offering a 5 % coupon is a bit premature. While I didn't actually call for a formal boycott as it has been reported, I did write that I would personally not buy or recommend Bach products until either Xylitol is taken out of the Pastille candies, or the labeling is changed to reflect that the product contains Xylitol and is not intended for dogs.
So now that you have the little hairs on the back of my neck up, I will officially say the word.
Boycott.
Please email Bach, rescue@nelsons.net and let them know your thoughts.
