Are dogs supposed to have dry noses and cats wet? What if a dog does have a wet nose (and hasn't been in the toilet recently)?

Sorry no one responded to you! Dogs should have WET noses. It's generally the temperature you want to worry about. They should most likely be cool and not too hot. Watch out for any discolored discharge, it should be clear.
